3 Day Sunrise Highlights - Mt. Fuji, Hakone, Kyoto & Nara Tour (Round Trip from Tokyo)

Day1: Sightseeing at Mt. Fuji + Lake Ashi Cruise + Mt. Komagatake Ropeway
Sightseeing at Mt. Fuji 5th Station The bus will head up to the 5th Station along the Subaru Line. The 5th Station is situated at 2,300 meters (7,546 ft) above sea level. At this height, you will be amazed at spectacular, breathtaking views from above the clouds. The tour will not be cancelled or refunded even if Mt. Fuji is not fully visible due to weather conditions. Lunch Enjoy lunch. Lake Ashi Cruise Go for a sightseeing cruise on Lake Ashi. This crater lake along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mt. Hakone was formed by a powerful volcanic eruption nearly 3,000 years ago, and provides postcard views of Mt. Fuji towering 30 km northwest. Mt. Komagatake Ropeway Spend a total of 50 minutes including a 7-minute cableway ride up to the peak from Hakone-en. Take a cableway ride up to the spiritual Hakone Shrine Mototsumiya (original shrine) that nestles at the mountaintop. Odawara Station From Odawara Station to Kyoto Station (There may be a transfer at Shizuoka Station or Nagoya Station) Go to Kyoto by Hikari or Kodama Shinkansen A train transfer at Shizuoka or Nagoya station may be necessary. If so, a staff member will assist participants in transferring. Kyoto Station Hotels in Kyoto City Participants will be taken by taxi from Kyoto Station to their hotels. An English-speaking staff member will guide participants to the taxi, but will not ride along in the taxi. The arrival time in Kyoto may be later than scheduled, around, due to traffic congestion and other reasons. Depart from Hotel in Kyoto CityPick-up service is available at hotels in Kyoto city. This tour follows the same itinerary as the 1-Day Kyoto Tour.

Day2: Nijo Castle + Kinkaku-ji Temple + Kyoto Imperial Palace + Kitano Tenmangu Shrine + Nara Nagomikan
Nijo Castle A World Heritage site. Tour the historical castle completed in 1626, which was built to provide lodging for Tokugawa Shogun and as a palladium for Kyoto Imperial Palace. The impressive, elaborate carvings and decors in the Ninomaru Palace are a must-see. Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in January, July, August, and December (Closed on the following day if Tuesday is a holiday.) If closed, or if the tour is during the year-end/New Year's holidays, Ryoan-ji Temple will be visited instead. Kinkaku-ji Temple A World Heritage site. The wooden architecture is covered in thin layers of pure gold and is surrounded by a beautiful pond. See the Kyoto Imperial Palace, which was used as the Emperor's residence until about 150 years ago. Kitano Tenmangu Shrine On Mondays (and Tuesdays if a national holiday falls on the preceding Monday), this tour will visit Kitano Tenmangu Shrine instead of the Kyoto Imperial Palace. It is famous for housing the God of scholarship. This shrine's main hall is a designated national treasure. The shrine is especially great to see during the plum blossom and autumn leaf seasons. Lunch (Japanese/Western style buffet lunch) From Kyoto to Nara Head to Nara via Nara Keinawa Expressway Todai-ji Temple (Big Buddha)/Nara Park A World Heritage site. This is the symbol of the Nara Period and one of the world's largest wooden structures. Its huge main hall and bronze Great Buddha are impressive to behold. Kasuga Taisha Shrine This Nara Period shrine is designated as a World Heritage Site. The deer of Nara Park are thought to be the shrine messengers. At Kasuga Taisha Shrine, the tour will not enter areas requiring admission. Nara Nagomikan The largest souvenir shop in Nara. Enjoy yourself in this spacious shop and look for the perfect souvenir. Nara Nagomikan may be omitted from the itinerary if it is closed on the day of the tour, or as a result of traffic congestion.

Day3: Departure
Free time from check-out until departure.
