6D5N KERALA HOUSEBOAT WINTER HOLIDAY
Day 1 : Arrival Cochin Morning on your arrival at the Cochin Airport you will be given a warm welcome by our tour executive and later transferred to the hotel, relax the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Cochin. Day 2 : Cochin – Munnar (140Kms-4hrs) Today Post Breakfast drive to Munnar – an extremely beautiful hill station in Kerala which is considered to be the Kashmir of South. Bedecked by sprawling tea gardens, with verdant green valleys and mountains. In your sightseeing tour enjoy panoramic views of Anaimudi, the highest peak of South India at 2695 m, is visible from Munnar. Visit the Christ Church and proceed for wildlife watching at Eravikulam National Park (16 km). Continue to Rajamala Hills lying adjacent to the park and stop by at Madupetty Dam, a famous picnic spot for boating and horse riding en route to Top Station can also view Sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, Echo Point etc. Overnight stay in the hotel in Munnar. Day 3 : Munnar – Periyar (120Kms – 3.5hrs) Morning drive to Periyar which is famous for its wildlife sanctuary and for a large variety of spices found here. On reaching there, check into the resort and later [OPTIONAL]to go for spice plantation tour along with an expert guide who will introduce you to different variety of spices. You may opt for a pleasant boat ride [OPTIONAL] along the Periyar Lake in the evening. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the lake, watching varied birds and small animals. In the evening free to explore the spice market. Overnight stay at the hotel in Periyar. Day 4 : Periyar – Alleppey (160Kms – 5hrs) Today you will be transferred to Alleppey known as the ‘Venice of the East’ to embark the traditional houseboat at 12.30pm and start your cruise in the narrow canals. During the journey you can visit ancient temples, churches, paddy fields and can watch the day to day activities of the local people who live nearby. Your crew members will serve delicious Kerala food (welcome meals, lunch, evening snacks & dinner) on board and will take good care of you. Overnight stay at the Houseboat in Alleppey. Day 5 : Alleppey – Cochin (75Kms – 2 hrs) Morning post breakfast start the sightseeing tour around Cochin -which is the most historical destination of Kerala having a rich ancient heritage visit the St. Francis Church, Indo – Portuguese Museum, Santa Cruz Basilica and the Chinese Fishing Nets. Evening OPTION to go for a sunset cruise in Cochin harbor or watch any Cultural Shows at the Greenix Village. Overnight stay at the hotel in Cochi Day 6 : Cochin – Departure Today you will be transferred to the Cochin Airport as per the flight schedule for your onward journey back home with the wonderful memories of the tour.
